It is about creating a dynamic, do-able plan. A skilful coach's job is to guide you through the process of making and achieving that plan
The Nutrition Coach offers an exciting course which helps you create your own life plan or Life Map.
A Life Map is a tangible record of your dreams and aspirations which are entered in your own Life Book with our help. We create this book through a number of fun and often powerful exercises; visualisation, writing assignments and pictures so that by the end of the course you not only know where you are going, but you have a permanent record to remind you of your journey.
We start with a Welcome Session which lasts about an hour - this is the only time we look at the past; to fully understand where you are at the moment, (coaching is not counselling - counselling tends to look back in order to heal past events, as opposed to coaching that looks entirely to the future).
The Welcome Session acts as a stand alone session to see if coaching is for you. Session times range thereafter from 60 to 90 minutes.
Life Map Course Structure
The first piece of work we do is an assessment of where you are – we use a common coaching tool called the Wheel of Life to do this. We divide your life into 12 areas that may need addressing (e.g. Career, Health, Finance, Family, Relationships etc.). We then score each section out of ten points. Low scores are an indication that the area may need some work. The three sections with the lowest scores are usually the ones we focus on.
A large piece of work we do together is establishing your value system – this is your guide to knowing whether your goals are congruent with your life. For example, you may think that you would like to be dripping in gold and wealth but do your values actually reflect that?
We are then able to establish a Life Vision, and from that, an action plan of how to get there, step by step.
We book the course in blocks of six so that your session times are secured in the diary.
